Hello everybody! Welcome to the story of ‘Spinning into Career’ This is the fifteenth video on ‘Spinning into Career’.

Ruchi’s officer, Mr. Balwant is rakish. He is thin, fair and straight nosed and has small eyes and gray hair. He is very jovial, laughs, talks hilariously and guffaws. Current affairs and cricket are his likes. He married early in life. He says that he would have married Ruchi if he had met her twenty five years before. He observes Ruchi drinking tea and comments that she sips it like nectar. The other staff members include a Sindhi woman who takes some time from her work for her knitting. Nanda, a Maharashtrian woman, takes concession to go home early. Xaxa, a dark woman, drapes sarees that reveal her shapely waist. Yellow sari suits her. Nanda and Mr. Balwant live in Sagar. Mr. Balwant has a confectionery shop there that is managed by his son.

Mr. Balwant flirts with a Sindhi girl, Beena Sajnani, who works in the next section. When she drops her pen down, she takes an opportunity to bow and Mr. Balwant has a view of her peeping breasts. Ruchi is searching for her misplaced file one day. There is a power outage in the office. The officer stands behind her with his eyes lit. Ruchi understands his intention. She searches for cards in the Kardex and for files in the cabinet. He says that all the staff will be relieved from their duty early today and a cab is waiting outside. He is going with a guy who wants at least two more persons to accompany him. Ruchi urges Meena to accompany her. They board the cab. Beena’s acquaintance with Mr. Balwant transforms into close relationship.

Beena is a tubby girl with a big face and gleaming large eyes. Her hands are soft and she dresses attractively. She does good makeup and the gleaming lipstick on her thick lips makes her smile enticing. Beena resides at Sander and Mr. Balwant lives in Tanaji Nagar, Sagar. Mr. Balwant calls Ruchi a regulator because she scorns him for touching her friend. She advises Beena to leave his company. Despite her abhorrence, she accompanies them to the cinema to watch Exorcist and to Shorine Lines to dine at Neel Palm Hotel. Mr. Balwant declares, ” I love you Beena, I cannot live without you. Can I have some of your coffee? ” Beena smiles. Mr. Balwant drinks coffee from her glass. Ruchi thinks that Mr. Balwant has gone crazy or he has done away with himself. He imagines a woman of his daughter’s age as his beloved. The next day Ruchi advises Beena to stop her affair with Mr. Balwant. He continues to haunt them even at the St. Thomas Gate station. Ruchi hates Beena because she speaks lies and pretends.

Mr. Balwant takes them to Happy Heart Restaurant. Ruchi cannot imagine what she sees. The two of them appear to be making love to each other. They are touching hands and faces and intimating how much they love each other. It is an illicit love affair. Ruchi sees Beena sheltering Mr. Balwant from the rain. Ruchi thinks, ” It is ridiculous!” She is under psychological and moral pressure. ” Aren’t you ashamed Beena? I don’t like your behavior. Are you really in love with that stupid old fellow?” Beena’s face looks even more lugubrious. She has tears in her eyes. Ruchi cannot understand her emotion. Ruchi remains quiet and sedate. She cannot do anything because Mr.Balwant is her immediate boss. Her confidential report is in his hands.

A major change in her relationship with Beena and Mr. Balwant takes place. Mr. Balwant is more obnoxious towards Ruchi. He invites her to accompany him to the cinema. In an irritable mood, Ruchi lifts a paper weight and is about to hurl it at him when she sees Charles Paul the Purchase officer emerging from his cabin.
